JOHN DEER was formed in the summer of 2005 by five good friends and musicians who share the love and feeling of country music. Having played in several successful bands and musical projects in Europe and Australia, JOHN DEER have developed a style of Modern Country, blending great vocal harmonies with fine acoustic strumming, lightning fast finger pickin' to swampy steel and electric guitars, a rock solid bass and drums rhythm section and tasteful flowing piano melodies.

In November 2005 JOHN DEER decided to go into the studio and cut their first album. Together with good friend and renowned producer Andreas Frei from Frei Audio in Klagenfurt Austria, the outcome is GONE COUNTRY, with ten great tracks including new original material. The album is honest and true, powerful and also moving, and shows their vast experience as vocalists, players and song writers.

Having the pleasure of working with special guests Hamlet Fiorilli (piano) and Andrea Ogris (vocals) on the album, their input has helped put a fantastic edge to the final product.

JOHN DEER'S next album will be released in early 2010, and with tours planned for many venues and festivals across Europe in the near future (keep your eyes on the tour date section!), the boys from JOHN DEER look forward to seeing you at one of their shows for some heart breaking ballads, country classics, great music and good vibes !!!
